"Mirror of the World" Fund

Non-Commercial Fund for Informational Resistance to the Threat of Wars and Hostilities in the Modern World "MIRROR OF THE WORLD" was created in January 2004 by a group of individuals and is located in Moscow, Russia.

The primary purpose of this Fund is to oppose the treat of wars and hostilities in the whole world by providing comprehensive and unbiased information on the events. The necessity of it was clearly shown during the invasion of the US, the UK and the anti-Iraq Coalition forces into Iraq in 2003. This is when it became absolutely clear that the mass media provide virtually no unbiased information on the events.

During that period the only source of reliable and comprehensive information for many people around the world was the Internet Project "War in Iraq" (Iraqwar.ru) - now, unfortunately, closed.

Quite a long period of has passed since then, yet nothing has changed. And today we see that some wanton politicians, driven by their own ambitions, interests, or simply by lack of understanding of the present situation, attempt to spark off hostilities all around the world.

Therefore, we see our objectives as follows:

1. Provide historical, economical, geopolitical, and other information, as well as comprehensive reflection of the current developments in the world and their analysis.

2. Attract the public attention to problems and consequences of wars and hostilities.

3. Provide informational opposition to extremist ideologies.

4. Promote the ideas of peace, kindness, mercy, and justice.

5. Promote spiritual unification of all the people of good will to resist the challenges and threats of the modern world by providing information and reflecting the current events around the world.

The main project of the Fund is a web-based electronic mass medium "News from Iraq: War, Politics, Economy", www.iraq-war.ru ( www.mirror-world.ru).

Both the Fund and the site you are currently viewing were created as open projects. Any individual or entity sharing the Fund's objectives may take part in this project. The Fund has no compulsory membership and understands the peculiarities of work in the Internet. Any individual, regardless of his/her citizenship, nation, or creed may work with us. Our contributors may also stay incognito, if they wish so. You have an opportunity to join our work group with your own ideas and resources. It is also possible to support the Fund and the web-site by donations.
